Union home minister Amit Shah on Wednesday held a meeting of Intelligence Bureau (IB) officers and reviewed the internal security situation of the
country.
During the review, Shah stressed on the need to strengthen information sharing and enhance liaison between counter-terrorism and anti-drug agencies of the states. He said there is a need to dismantle the financial and logistical support system of the Left Wing Extremism, adding “We have to make the coastal security impenetrable and for this we should keep a close eye on even the smallest and most isolated port.”
