The new swanky terminal at Bengaluru International Airport cost over Rs 5,000 crore to construct.
Adding another jewel to Bengaluru’s Crown!
The opening of T2 will significantly benefit the population by doubling the number of check-in and immigration counters and the passenger handling capacity. It would be able to handle approximately 5-6 crore passengers each year, up from the present 2.5 crore.
Garden City’s new glory!
The passenger experience at Terminal 2 is envisioned to be like taking a “walk in the garden,” paying homage to Bengaluru’s Garden City. Passengers will travel through 10,000 square metres or more of green walls, hanging gardens, and outdoor gardens that were created in India using indigenous technology.
Built on principles of sustainability
Airport has already established a standard for sustainability by utilising 100% renewable energy across the campus. The design of Terminal 2 incorporates sustainability ideas throughout.
