India recorded a increase in fresh coronavirus infections by 501 in a single day, but the number of active cases decreased from 7,918 to 7,561, the health ministry revealed on Tuesday.
The current total of Covid cases is 4,46,66,676, while the death toll has increased to 5,30,535 with the addition of two more fatalities, one each from Rajasthan and Delhi.
As per the data, active cases made up 0.02 percent of all infections, and the recovery rate improved to 98.79 percent.
4,41,28,580 people have recovered from the illness, and the case fatality rate has been reported at 1.19 percent.
The nation has received 219.82 crore doses of Covid vaccinations thus far as part of the vaccination campaign.
