Varients Fueling the Current Covid-19 Cases in India (Andhra Pradesh)

Andhra Pradesh reports the first Delta Plus variant amongst the current Covid-19 cases in India. It was detected in Tirupati. The name of the patient is Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas, according to the State Health Minister. He has gone under treatment and has successfully recovered without the infection being transmitted.

Meanwhile, Goa reported 72 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths recently, while 89 patients have recovered, according to the health department.

Pune, with 9,243 cases, is leading among five districts that are responsible for more than 75.29% of the total active cases registered on September 27. Thane has a total of 5,888 active cases, Mumbai 5,053, Ahmednagar 5,506 and Satara currently has 2,201.

Kerala recorded 12,161 new Covid-19 cases and 155 deaths on September 29. The figure has only gone up if we compare it to the previous day’s recorded cases which were about 11,196. The country has to report less than 20,000 cases for the last two days. This has resulted in the dropping of active cases in the country by 2.82 lakh.

Meanwhile, Central has extended the ban on international flights till October 31. The Centre has stated that International Scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes by the authority on case to case basis.
