Modi is currently participating in two-day G20 summit themed “Recover Together, Recover Stronger” and as he took the stage to address people, the chants “Modi” filled the hall.

Here are the key notes from PM Narendra Modi’s speech:

1. India’s Cuttack is 1500 km away from Indonesian is celebrating Bali Yatra Mahotsav- Bali Jatra. This Mahotsav celebrates thousands of years old India-Indonesia trade relations.

“When people of Indonesia see photos of this year’s Bali Jatra on internet, they’ll be proud and happy. Due to the issues arising due to COVID, some hurdles had cropped up. After several years, Bali Jatra Mahotsav is being celebrated on a grand scale with mass participation in Odisha.” he said.

2. India’s overall imports increase to USD 73 bn in October 2022 from USD 65.28 bn in the same month last year and its overall exports increased to USD 58.36 bn in October 2022 from USD 56.10 bn in the same month last year.

3. Relations between India and Indonesia stand strong during both good and difficult times. In 2018, when Indonesia was affected by an earthquake, we immediately started operation Samudra Maitri.

4. India has stood firmly with Indonesia in challenging times. Both countries may be 90 nautical miles apart, but in reality, we are not 90 nautical miles apart but 90 nautical miles close.

5. At a time when the grand Ram Temple is taking shape in India, we also proudly remember the Ramayana tradition of Indonesia.

6. Today’s India doesn’t think small. Today India is doing work at unprecedented scale and speed. India is a ray of hope for the world in the 21st century, claimed Modi.

7. A few months back, on 15th Aug, India celebrated 75 years of independence. Indonesia’s independence day comes two days after India’s – on 17th August. But Indonesia was fortunate to attain independence two years before India. There is a lot that India can learn from Indonesia.

8. But in its 75-year-old long development journey, there is a lot that India can give to Indonesia. India’s talent, technology, innovation, industry have made an identity for themselves before the world. Several big companies of the world have an Indian-origin CEO.

9. India’s self-sufficiency in medicines and vaccines during the COVID pandemic benefitted the world.

10. PM Modi will attend another session tomorrow, which is on digital transformation and later on, along with the other leaders, PM Modi will visit Mangroove forest.
