Former bureaucrat Arun Goel, who was appointed as Election Commissioner, joined the office on November 21. Arun Goel, a former IAS officer of Punjab cadre, was on November 20 appointed as Election Commissioner. Arun Goel has taken voluntary retirement from the post of Secretary, Heavy Industries. He will join Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar and Election Commissioner Anup Chandra Pandey in the Election Commission.
